IBSC Approved: Mobile Integrated Healthcare Course

The course covers preventative health care, chronic disease management, telehealth, and long-term patient care. Students will explore regional health topics, learn from subject matter experts, and gain skills to improve patient access, promote self-management, and reduce reliance on acute care.

The course also includes training in community health assessments, program funding models in North Carolina, and conducting patient care visits using preventative tools.

Students who complete the course are eligible to take the IBSC CP-C certification exam or earn 16hours of continuing education toward CP-C recertification.

PREREQUISITES:

To be eligible for the course students must complete the following prerequisites before the start of the course

• To be eligible to take this course students must hold an unrestricted license or certificate to practice as a EMT, Advanced-EMT, paramedic, or other nursing or community health worker with appropriate education and training as defined by local rule or regulation.
• Student needs to provide a photo id - for identification purposes
• Submit licensure and photo id to EMS@forysthtech.edu after you have registered for a seat in this class.
